"We had a fantastic Christmas at Jonquil Cottage and are happy
to go back sometime soon. The luxury of the cottage was the
ideal remedy to a hectic year, and large enough to accommodate
us extremely comfortably. On Christmas day we ate Christmas
dinner in front of the wood burning fire and then went for a

Please note that Jonquil and Teddy Bear Cottage are next door to each other and can therefore be booked together for larger groups.
Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
10% discount for bookings over 2 weeks. Bookings that are made
for September and October (booked before 1st Sept) will receive
£50 worth of gift vouchers to spend on their holiday. (1 set of
vouchers per booking).
Changeover day
Saturday is our preferred day of arrival, however this is
flexible depending on bookings. Departure time is 10.00am and
arrival time is between 2-4.00pm. A 10% discount is given for
bookings longer than 2 weeks. Longer lets are available.

| Kitchens: | Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, hob, oven,
fridge/freezer, washer and microwave. Ironing board and
iron. The kitchen naturally, has all crockery cutlery, pans, kettle and tea towels provided. |
| Utility Room: | Outside Utility/boiler room with electric clothes dryer and clothes airer. Household cleaning materials are also kept in this area. In addition the cottage has an outbuilding accommodating cycles and play equipment. |
| Living Rooms: | Lounge - The cottages have satellite TV video and DVD player. Also Play Station with various games. |
| Other: | There is a library of books, DVDs and videos in the house catering for all tastes. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
The cottages have a maid service once a week and this provides linen and towels. A free welcome pack is provided upon arrival. We also offer a deluxe welcome pack which is ideal for those who are celebrating a special occasion. Please email for details. |

Coast/Beach
The glorious beaches of Granville and Julouville are only 40
minutes drive away. The D.Day landing beaches are approximately
1 hour away. Granville is a cosmopolitan town with many "Tres
Chic" boutiques. Why not stroll along the harbour and try one of
the many delightful fish restaurants. If you fancy a day trip to
Jersey or a tour around the Chanel Islands you can catch the
ferry in Granville. The ferry is very good value and the
shopping in Jersey is wonderful.
Golf
There is a nine hole golf course at Lac de la Dathee. Also other
golf courses can be found around the Normandy.
Special interest
holidays
If you are interested in Art and Craft or cookery, we are able
to organise taster days with French Tutors. In the village of
Mesnil Clinchamps there is a craft shop that offers lessons in
patchwork quilting, Decopage,hardanger (french embroidery) and
jewelery making. The lessons take place in the shop and are very
enjoyable. Please discuss at the time of booking. Horesriding
lessons can also be arranged, together with boating and
windsurfing.
Travel
The nearest Airport is Dinard. Ryan Air operates flights from
Stansted, Bristol and EastMidlands. The distance from Brouains
is 1 hour 20 minutes. Car hire is available, however, airport
transfer is possible, this is worthwhile if you are planning a
cycling or walking holiday at the cottage. In addition Taylor
Made holidays can be arranged including Taster days and French
Tuition. Alternatively if you wish to bring your car then the
nearest ports are Caen or Cherbourg.(1hour approx).

Soudeval - 5 minutes drive.
Vire 15 minutes drive.
MontSaint Michael - 40 minutes drive.
Granville - 40 minutes drive.
Booking notes
Bookings can be made by telephone or email. A 20% non refundable
deposit is required at the time of booking and the final balance
is due six weeks before departure together with a returnable
deposit of £100. Last minute bookings can be arranged. There are
no pets allowed at the cottage with the exception of guide dogs.
